Plan on taking LSAT in 6/09 is it too early to prep? Best prep strategies and courses? Advice?

I'm really not sure which prep company to go with Kaplan, Princeton Review or Powerscore....What are some good materials to read? Which test date do you think is the best? I'm open to strategies and advice. I want to score 170+......

My thinking is that the test is so difficult that it is never to early to start prepping. Just don't go crazy now and then burn yourself out down the line.

As far as courses, I'm a Powerscore fan. The material we used in class was really good, and the instructor for my class was on the ball. It definitely helped me a lot.

Given that you have a lot of time to prep, I think you are on the right track to start reading books and taking tests. Who knows, maybe you will be prepared enough so that you can skip a course!

I read a lot of the books out there, and these were the best books I used:

1. Powerscore Logic Games Bible
2. Powerscore Logical Reasoning Bible
3. Kaplan LSAT 180

You will need to practice what you are learning, so get actual tests from Law Services, the people who make the test:

4. The Next 10 Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests
5. 10 More Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests
6. 10 Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests
7. LSAT Prep tests, individually numbered

If you work through the first three books on the list, you would be in pretty good shape in terms of strategies, and then do at least ten or twenty tests from the second group of books. Seriously, the more tests you do (regardless of what prep method you choose) the better off you will be. After that, the following books give explanations for test questions:

If you pace out your preparation, there is plenty of material to study there over the next year and a half.
