Hotel laws?
Sandman west in calgary charged my creditcard when I booked online on the 5th. They stay was for tonight and they are going to charge me even though I won't be staying there because booking online through their website goes through a third party. They say that they pay Jack travel and I pay Jack Travel. Jack travel says they just host the website and booking process that all credit card charges go through the hotel itself. No one will give me a straight answer and and I keep getting pushed of from person to person. There is 'no manager available' and they won't take a number. I've spoken with mastercard and it was charged on the 5th though the hotel and jack travel say that it was charged at midnight. Mastercard is sending dispute papers but that can take up to 3 months. Does anyone know how to ammend this sooner? I know the Hotel act states that cancellations can be made up to 4 pm day of check in but they're all telling me it's 24 hours. I don't know what to do. Help?
Contest the charge with the credit card company and have them dispute and take it off.
