Is it ok for legal U.S. citizens to want a better life (part 3)?
Many people enter the U.S. illegally in search of better lives for themselves and for their families. Because they are not legal citizens (crime), many of them have to accept off the books jobs that pay cash under the table (crime). Because these jobs are undocumented, there is no income tax witholing from their pay, no W2 form sent, and no federal income tax filed.
Is it ok for legal U.S. citizens who want better lives for themselves and for their families to also work illegal jobs and avoid paying federal income taxes?
No. As much as we hate to, it is every citizens duty to pay their taxes and do what they can to continue to make this the greatest country in the world. It is painful at times, but paying your taxes is essential in keeping us ahead. Those who do not pay taxes are just as guilty of trying to bring this country down as the illegals who sneak into the country and send the money they make back to wherever they came from.
