Retell and illustrat a book?

Is there a website on doing this? I mean after your done can you give it to an editor and sell it? And are there any laws on doing this?

I don't know of any website with editors standing by to "fix" a person's work.
Most editors are employed either as individuals, or they work for a publication or a publisher.

If you have work you truly, really, honestly think is ready for an editor to look at, I suggest you go to a public library and ask a reference librarian in your area to help you find editors in your area, or to show you how to "fix" your work through the study of books on writing.

It seems that you also need to study books on how to publish your work properly. I use several resources, but most often turn to "The Writer's Market" --well, and I have an editor as well, so I talk to her a lot. I suggest you buy or borrow the book I mention and study it, too.

There aren't "laws" per se, but there is a path to follow that may keep you out of every single slush pile every single publisher has. Read up on how to publish, how to get your work seen... all of that. Ask that librarian for help. They really do know what they have to offer, which is a lot.
